Printed fabric drying on the clothesline.

Hello from the Studio of Karen Cummings.

Working in her garage studio and teaching workshops, Karen has discovered that the possibilities of her craft are endless, and she feels like she has just begun. Starting with white cotton fabric, she hand-prints bold colors and large shapes, which she cuts and sews to create stunning, non-representational textile art pieces that allow viewers to find their own points of interest. Living in the beautiful Similkameen Valley of British Columbia, the artist draws inspiration from her surroundings and feels grateful for the opportunity to create in such a stunning environment.
